How Just Nice Clean Cars is making the process of buying a used car even simpler while adapting to Covid-19
Warwick’s largest independent used car dealership is making extensive use of video in vehicle and handovers as part of its social distancing strategy as well as creating a simpler more streamlined approach.
Just Nice Clean Cars Managing Director Carl Jay, said video calls had become essential as a result of the pandemic.
Video is one area the business has embraced, explains Carl:
“Video calls are becoming the norm for people since the start of the pandemic, and generally they are more confident in using this method than they were prior to the lockdown. We not only offer videos around the car so a customer has seen it before they come into our used car showroom or booked their test drive, for example on this Mini Countryman – http:/https://www.justnicecleancars.co.uk/used-vehicle-details/MINI-Countryman-U4796/ but our after-sales team utilise it to advise customers of any problems or concerns about their vehicle too, minimising the amount of time a customer has to spend on site. We are also in the process of creating a number of videos explaining what customers can expect and the changes that are now in place.”
An appointment based system is in place for viewing cars, test drives and naturally in the service and MOT testing centre, all of which are spaced to ensure social distancing is adhered to. Customers are greeted by one of Just Nice Clean Cars friendly employees and guided to either the car for a test drive, or to the service centre. If an employee is moving a customer vehicle, disposable covers are placed on the steering wheel and seat, as well the employees utilising the personal protective equipment and sanitiser.
Carl Jay continued to explain,
“All handovers, whether from the service and MOT testing centre or car sales showroom are contactless, and as much of the processes are carried out prior to the customer coming on site. We have made sure contactless payment options are available and all paperwork has become electronic where possible. Where customers are happy to complete payment online, we can offer to complete the registration of the vehicle to them and purchase the road fund licence prior to collection making the whole process even simpler.”
